Monte Corona is a private school that in the summer months and during breaks is transformed into a leisure center; conditioned for small, medium, and large groups.  It is situated in Barrio Aviche Number 37 in Santander in Cantabria.  It has large gardens of 10.000 metres squared enclosed within a stone wall.

It has large rooms which are set up with bunk beds making up 230 places in total.  There are showers and complete bathrooms with hot running water.

It has a dining facility prepared for 230 people in 2 or 3 sittings.

Complete pension includes:  breakfast, lunch, a snack ( for children) and dinner.

There are also areas available in the interior and exterior of the building for resting or playing games.  Our multiple activity room of 150 metres squared can be used as a disco, theatre, or for parties; there is music equipment available, tv, video and a library.

There is a multisport playing field and children’s park.

The Leisure Center Monte Corona has laundry service, phone and night watchman.

There are babysitting services available from Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

We have a large area where children can play soccer and outdoor games.  There are green areas for rest and relaxation.  Our spacious areas allow our guests freedom of movement in all areas.  The bathrooms and common areas are shared by all guests.

The kitchen serves home cooked meals and as rated from past guests, it is rather good.  There is also the possibility to use the kitchen by our guests to prepare dishes typical of their region or country.

Flexibility, we adapt to our clients.

There is medical service available 24 hours a day.

There is wifi available in all areas.

Rules and Regulations


GENERAL RULES

Article 1.

The object of the present rules and regulations are the conditions of use and operation of Leisure center Monte Corona, in Aviche 37.

Article 2.

The Leisure center is intended to serve as an accommodation and place of rest for travelers either young or old, that are currently in that situation of travel.  It is open to those wishing to use the facilities, groups of school children, university students, youth and sport associations and clubs, or social entities who are engaging in educational, entertainment, social and sports activities.


CONDITIONS OF STAY

Article 3.

1-     With general character, the installations will remain open in agreement with the calendar of dates and services which are approved for each season.

2-     The individual people that wish to stay in the Leisure center should be of legal age and those underage should dispose of parental authorization.

Article 4.

In the case of groups whose components are not of legal age, they should be accompanied by adults in the ratio of 1 per 20 underage youths.  If the age of the components is less than 6 years of age, the ratio will be increased to 1 adult per 10.  All groups will designate one person responsible group during the period of their stay in the Leisure center.

Article 5.

The reservation can be formalized with a contract of temporary use as subscribed by the Leisure center’s Director.  It will be signed in triplicate and a copy will be given to the guest.  This document accredits the services hired and the identity of the guest and the components of the group, association or school, which wish to use the Leisure center and should be presented at the time of check in.

Article 6.

As a general rule, the check in to the Leisure center will be one hour prior to the first service in the contract and check out, will be one hour later than the last service unless there is an exception which has been justified accordingly.

                   

Article 7.

1-     The Director of the Leisure center can authorize an increase in the amount of days in the reservation in function of the availability of places, best organization, distribution and use of the Leisure center and the activity’s program; for educational, recreational, cultural reasons and/or sport or social events.

2-     The guests can renew their stay as long as there are places available and before check out time established by the administration in respect to the last night of stay.  These requests can be denied by the Director if reasons exist to motivate this, such as problematic behavior or similar.

Article 8.

The retribution of places and rooms will be done according to the best organization, distribution and use of the facilities for the largest number of users, keeping in mind the availability of the facilities.


REQUEST FOR RESERVATIONS IN ADVANCE

Article 9.

1-     The reservation for use of the Leisure center should be in writing (fax, email) or directly to the Leisure center. In the case of the groups, these will be done in advance and in writing.

Article 10.

1-     The conditions of the reservation of possible places and the corresponding administrative conditions will be realized in advance with a minimum of 30 natural days in respect to the date of reservation.

2-     The guests who do not have a reservation will be admitted as long as there are places available and prior to the acceptance of the administrative requirements established. 

PAYMENTS AND CANCELATIONS

Article 11.

The individual guests will pay for the services requested in advance to occupation.

The groups should pay in advance the total amount of the services required by the Norms of Economic Regimen.  The Director of the Leisure center will not accept any reservation, if the money of the reservation fee is not lodged.  After the fee has been lodged, the guest will be given a copy of the contract of temporary use which will serve as a receipt of the same.

At the end of the stay, payment of all costs of services rendered, including possible damages which may have been produced by the incorrect use by the guest, and after the deduction of any prior payment will be included in a detailed bill which will be given to the guests.  

Article 12.

The current Rules and Economic Regimen will establish the prices and the billing in function to the services rendered and if necessary, a refund.

                         

GENERAL RULES FOR COEXISTANCE

     

Article 13.

The guests should follow the social rules of coexistence and personal hygiene, as well as, dress appropriately in common areas.  Shoes should be worn at all times and in all areas.      

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are considered collective acts.  The hours established for these services should be respected for the correct function of the facilities.    

The guests will especially observe the following community rules:

·         Respect the hours of sleep of all guests.

·         Avoid confrontations.

·         Follow the indications given by the employees or Director, who is in charge of insuring that the present rules and regulations are followed.

 

  HOURS OF OEPRATION OF THE SERVICES

                      

Article 14.

Guests have an informative bill board at their disposal, located in a visable area of the Leisure center.  The bill board will publish general information and particular information needed for the correct operation of the Leisure center. In particular, the hours of operation of the services available in the Leisure center:  rooms, kitchen, breakfast, lunch, dinner, locker service, concierge, laundry, bedding, security, hours of operation of the Leisure center, etc.

 

KITCHEN, LAUNDRY, IRONING, ROOM AND BEDDING SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.

             

Article 15.

The kitchen is for the exclusive use of the employees.

         

Article 16.

The use of laundry service, dryers and ironing are available for a small fee. Guests should clean and leave all areas in perfect condition.

         

Article 17.

Each guest will be assigned a numbered bed and its corresponding closet.  Each place will include mattress, bedding, blanket and pillow with case.

            

FURNITURE, IMPERFECTIONS OR REPAIRS

     

Article 18.

The guests are expected to maintain the facilities, including furniture, rooms and all furniture contained therein, in perfect condition.  They should not hang signs or other objects  on windows, or which may affect the paint on walls or doors.  The person whose name is on the sign will be held responsible and accountable for all damages and costs.  Any such damages will be reported to the Ministry of Education, as well as any observations.

         

For security reasons, the use of ovens, barbecues, electrical accumulators, any other source such as electrical, gas or flammable item are prohibited, except those authorized by the administration and agreed to in advance in writing.

     

VISITS   

Article 19.

With general character, no visitors will be allowed within the facilities, or will guests be allowed to invite anyone outside the installations to eat with them in the dining area. Any person invited by a guest, should be previously authorized by the administration, Director or following the instructions expressed in this document.

          

RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE GUESTS   

Article 20.

The guests have the following rights:     

a)      Use of the facilities and services, according to the present norms.

b)     Receive exact and complete objective information about all and each one of the           conditions of the present services.

c)      Obtain the necessary documents which give the terms of the services available, in any case, corresponding to the bill issued to the guest.

d)     Be able to formulate claims, and therefore have a book of claims available for their use at all times.  

e)      Any other right which can be recognized in the current legislation.     

Article 21.

The following are the obligations of the Guests:      

a) To follow and respect the established in the present legislation and instructions given by the administration of the Leisure center.     

b) The correct use of the facilities, equipment and services.    

c) The communication of any anomalies in the correct function, breakage or defects of the facilities that may be observed.    

d) Respect the rights of other guests, especially in reserved and common areas.    

e) The use proper behavior in the facilities at all times, towards employees and for the coexistence with other guests.    

f) Realize the only and exclusive activity for which the Leisure center has been reserved.    

g) Pay the established prices for the use of facilities and services.    

h) Respect hours of operation, especially during the periods of sleep and rest according to the indications of the employees.    

i) Collaboration of simple domestic tasks if necessary for the correct function of the Leisure center, as directed by the Administration.    

j) Any other obligation that may derive from the current legislation and the present regimen.

                          

Article 22.

In all areas of the Leisure center it is prohibited to smoke, drink or have alcholic beverages, the buying, selling or use of drugs.  No animals are allowed.

      

 PRICES AND REGIMEN FOR USE OF FACILITIES AND SERVICES     

Article 23.

The use of services and facilities of the Leisure center are subject to prior payment of the current published prices.

Prices will be established due to the following criteria:

a) Bed and Breakfast.

b) Stay in quality of half pension.

c) Stay in quality of Full Board.          

REGIMEN REQUIRING SANCTION

Article 24.

The breaching of the Rules and Regulations or the instructions sited here by the Administration of the Leisure center, constitutes an administrative infraction which can have a penalization.

The infractions that may be produced are classified as slight, serious or very serious.    

Article 25.

1.- It will be considered a slight infraction any breaching that is not considered serious or very serious.      

Article 26.

1.- The following breaching of the rules are classified as serious:      

a) The sum of three or more slight breaching of rules.    

b) The intentional destruction or negligence of the care and conservation of the facilities, loaned equipment or the common zones of the Leisure center.    

c) The continued disobedience of the Administration of the facilities.

d) All ongoing behavior which is considered the opposite of order and coexistence with other guests and towards the employees of the Leisure center.

e) The lack of payment due for the use of the facilities and its services.     

Article 27.

1. The following are considered Very Serious Breaching of the rules:      

a)  The continued receipt of serious infractions.    

b) The use of the installations, loaned equipment or common areas for an objective different from that constituted in this document.     

Article 28.

To determine the sanction imposed, it will be based on the intentions of the person who committed the infraction, the economic damage, the conditions and public effect and other criteria of the established objectives.      

Article 29.-

Those directly responsible for the infractions contained in the present ordnance either for their action or lack of, except in the supposed case of those under age who will remain accountable, since their parents or tutor will be considered responsible.

The person who deteriorates the installations or loaned materials will respond for any and all damages.

Article 30.-

The sanctions which may be imposed by the administration are the following:

1.- For the imposing of  slight infractions:

a) Subpoena.   

2.- For the imposing of serious or very serious infractions:

b) Expulsion from the Leisure center.         

 

INNCIDENTS AND CLAIMS   

Article 31.

To guarantee the rights of guests, there are Books of Claims (Libro de Reclamaciones) available.

Any guest, showing his identification card, passport or Leisure center identification card can use the book to make his claim, along with his personal information, such as name and address.

SEASON OF LEISURE CENTER MONTE CORONA 2016

 

·        From 1 of July to 31 of August, any tourist who wishes to stay in our Leisure center will be welcome, either as an individual or a group.

 ·        From 1 of September to 30 of June the Leisure center will remain CLOSED.
